Who Is ReFrame?
ReFrame started in the lab at Safelight.
We kept seeing the same thing: used disposable cameras coming back, then getting thrown away. Perfectly usable parts, one life and done.
So we changed that.
We collect, rebuild, and reload these cameras by hand in our Berlin shop using materials from our own workflow wherever possible. What was once waste becomes usable again—kept in circulation, not left behind.
Because “disposable” was always a bit of a lie.
ReFrame is built as a loop. You shoot it, we develop it, then take the camera back and do it all over again. Since everything happens in-house, we can actually make that cycle work.
We also offer custom ReFrame cameras for weddings, events, and projects—same idea, just tailored to the moment.
Behind it all is Safelight, one of Germany’s larger film labs. ReFrame is how we rethink what passes through our hands every day.
Less waste. More photos.
Behind The Scenes
